The resort is located on Highway 273 about 34 miles from Show Low AZ which is the hub center of the White Mountains. A permit required, per vehicle and can be purchased from the General Store. You'll find tables and firepits are at most sites. Port-a-jons and water are available throughout the campground. There are approximately 200 sites which can accommodate anything from a tent to large motor homes. It is a primitive campground in the quiet pines. Spaces are available for rent during both the summer and winter months and ental permits can be purchased at the Sunrise General Store. Water is not available at the sites, but is available at the Sunrise General Store across the road. ![]() Sunrise RV Park is located at the entrance of the Sunrise Park Resort.There are 20 available spaces available with each providing a 30 amp electrical hook up. And for additional adult enterainment, the Hon-Dah Resort Casino is located nearby when you get the gambling adrenalin rush. Vacationers marvel at the views across the horizons as well as great dining. Sunrise Lodge is available during the summer and winter seasons and features one hundred rooms, a lounge, game room and indoor pool. The summer is ideal for hiking, riding the lifts for great panoramic views, mountain biking, golfing nearby courses and horseback riding. Sunrise is the only lake on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation that permits gas-powered boat motors. Boat rentals are available for those that either want to fish or just enjoy a pleasant summer day on the lake. Fishing at Sunrise Lake for Rainbow, Brook and Apache Trout is a blast. Summer at Sunrise Resort and the White Mountains is spectacular. This is a great time to explore natures beauty along the many hiking trails in the area. Springtime brings colorful meadow of wildflowers as the green leaves on the Aspens begin to emerge. The service shop include gear repair, snowboards and skis as well as skiing lessons and trail permits.Īfter the ski season, Sunrise Park is still a great escape from the hectic pace of city life and the hotter temperatures in the desert cities of Phoenix and Tucson. For the cross-country enthusiasts the Park features plenty of cross-country ski trails. ![]() The TerrainPark offers skiers and snowboarders the chance to show off their skills on a snow half pipe, wood and metal rails, and a contained event space. Families with young children will appreciate the "ski-wee" section that permits the little ones to learn to ski in a safer environment. ![]()
